In 2017, my family was nearly destroyed by debt. I was attending an art college and could no longer afford not only my paints, but also the one-way train fare to the college. I had no choice but to ride my bicycle for three hours to school.

One day while I was on my way to school, I saw some garbage on the street. It looked like me, but it also looked like an object of longing that was not me. I decided to make an exhibition out of it. I thought about my hometown, the people around me, and the environment there.

Abandoned trash is out of the social system of being collected and disposed of. When I saw it that way, I decided to project an image of a person onto it.

From something trivial to something big enough to be a curse, the place where we are born and the environment we grow up in can determine how we live afterwards.

Will we ever be able to escape from our lifelong circumstances? The left behind trash continues to be there.
